Well well well it seems talks with yet another club have broken down with Carlos Tevez, with PSG being the latest one to pull out on the Argentine. Both Milan clubs are still keen on the AWOL striker. Apparently AC Milan (who the striker favours) have agreed on personal terms with the striker, but cannot seem to agree on a fee with Manchester City. City are refusing to budge on their asking price, which is said to be around £25m.

There have been reports that Tevez has lost around £9m since he left for Argentina, with rumours that he was set for a loyalty bonus of £6m. Man City are believed to have cut off payments to Tevez since November, from which the striker’s representatives claim was the striker’s doing and not of the club’s.

Tevez claims he isn’t concerned about his financial losses and just wants to play football, which is hard for anyone to believe due to the striker’s actions in his country. His representatives are pushing for a move to AC Milan, despite the Italian club lacking the funds for the transfer fee. Tevez’s agent Kia Joorabchian is known as one of the money grabbing agents that have destroyed football, who many believe is responsible for giving Tevez the wrong advice. If it’s not about the money then why does his agent always point him in the direction of the richest clubs i.e PSG and the Milan clubs? It wasn’t too long ago that Tevez said he wanted to be closer to his family. Does he think that France and Italy are close to Argentina?

Are Manchester City right to hold out for the right price? Or should they let him go? Having a player like that can have a huge impact on the atmosphere of the club. For a player who was once admired by City fans as their talisman is now the most hated man in Manchester, if not the entire premiership. With financial fair play set to take place in a few seasons, it would benefit them a great deal to get him off their wage bill. Mancini said that Tevez can never come back after what he has done. It doesn’t seem like they are missing him, with the club flying high at the top of the premier league. Even though I despise Man City for all their money, I admire their stance on this. It’s good to see a club not giving into the demands of modern day footballers. We all saw how Wayne Rooney held Manchester United to ransom!
